Several girls in our 180 group have discovered the importance of spending time alone with God and becoming doers of what He teaches them. They want to offer an opportunity to any girl that wants to join in, to log onto this site each day and learn with them.

Ever wondered what to read in the Bible? Or better yet, what something in the Bible means?
Well join us each day, right here, and we will walk through God's Word together:)

Day #70

Thanks God for sharing with us yesterday about what many of Your followers have faced in order to obey You, love You, and share You with others.  I pray You would allow us more wisdom in this, so that we won’t crumble when we are faced with trials of our own.

Yesterday we began studying on James 5:9-10, where it mentions remembering the faithful in times of old who had suffered patiently… who waited on the Lord knowing that His promises would be fulfilled even if it wasn’t in their timing.

Please read James 5:9-10 once more and click on… Day #69 in order to understand why we are studying on this topic.

Yesterday we took a look at…
Samson- Judges 13-16
Daniel- Daniel 6:1-28

What types of things did these guys face?  Did they make any poor choices?  Did they remain faithful?  Did God work miracles through them?  Did others notice?  Did those that noticed, change their ways?  Was their punishment on those that had done wrong?

Today we are going to take a look at a few more of these faithful heroes of Old Testament times.  Please take time to read the following stories by looking them up in your own Bible or by clicking on them.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego – Their story picks up after their friend Daniel is able to reveal and interpret King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.  Daniel is then appointed to the high position of chief ruler of the province of Babylon and chief of all the wise men of Babylon.  Daniel 2:49-3:30.

Elijah – Elijah is a prophet of God that is faced with being the last one remaining in the area he is in.  All the other prophets, 450 in all, are prophets of a false god named Baal.  At this time, the people in this land were flip-flopping back and forth between whom they would serve… God or Baal.  Elijah decided to have a little test to see whose god was (and still is) the real GOD!!  1 Kings 18:20-19:3.
