Several girls in our 180 group have discovered the importance of spending time alone with God and becoming doers of what He teaches them. They want to offer an opportunity to any girl that wants to join in, to log onto this site each day and learn with them.

Ever wondered what to read in the Bible? Or better yet, what something in the Bible means?
Well join us each day, right here, and we will walk through God's Word together:)

Day #39

Please begin this time in prayer.

Read James 3:2.

Our WORDS reflect our character.  They are a window into our hearts.

Click on Luke 6:45.

So far, James has been telling us over and over the importance of good works in a believer’s life.  But, he also acknowledges that all Christians stumble.  In other words, they sin.

In no way, does this get us off the hook to feel better about ourselves.
Our continual pursuit should be Christ-likeness.  Sometimes, however, it seems like two steps forward, one step back, ay?  But, the general direction is heavenward.

Question: Do you have control over your words?  Are they kind?  Are they truthful?  How about the tone in your voice or your body language?  Did you realize those communicate as well?

For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.

TARGET of the DAY
Today, ask God to reveal to you areas where you have not allowed Him access.  He wants to be in control of all areas.  Our pursuit should be Christ-likeness.  Would others say this of you?  Would your family say this of you?  Come clean today and confess your sin to God.  Ask God to show you what you need to do to turn from whatever your issue is.  This will be tough, no doubt.  But we have to begin somewhere and sometime, why not here and now?
