Several girls in our 180 group have discovered the importance of spending time alone with God and becoming doers of what He teaches them. They want to offer an opportunity to any girl that wants to join in, to log onto this site each day and learn with them.

Ever wondered what to read in the Bible? Or better yet, what something in the Bible means?
Well join us each day, right here, and we will walk through God's Word together:)

Day #8

TODAY IS THE DAY TO GET A NOTEBOOK HANDY.  Keep this with your Bible and start writing down what you are learning.  No need to get lengthy, unless you want to:)  Just write something you got out of the lesson and the verse you read. When you write things down it actually has been known to help seal information in your BRAIN:)

Relationships can be tough, especially when there is weirdness in relationships at church.  Broken relationships among believers can affect our worship and how we love and serve each other.  If God wants us to be joined to a church that loves Him, which He does (see Hebrews 10:25), how are we supposed to handle situations like this?

First, we need to face a hard fact… rarely are all conflicts one-sided.  We would love to be the victim in all our conflicts, but if you dare, ask God where you might have contributed to the problem.  Trust me, He will show you!  YIKES!

Let’s start today by looking at the FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
Read Galatians 5:22-23

What are the FRUITS that are mentioned?

Are you a good example of all of these?  How about in your relationships (all of them)? If you say no, you are among many who are just like you.  Tough isn’t it?  You are a sinner and are going to need the Lord’s power working through your life to have these characteristics.  It is God’s desire that you have these fruits. The only way that happens is by spending time with God daily in the Bible, talking with Him, and obeying Him.

TARGET OF THE DAY
Today, pray and ask God to show you where you are failing in the FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT.  In your power, you will fail.  But, in God’s power these can truly one day be said of you.  Ask Him for help and to show you how to have self-control:)

Special NOTE:  We will be studying about this topic for a while!  Being broken by the Spirit of God is a good thing.  He cannot use you for His purposes until you have a broken heart over your sin.  But don’t be worried, there is amazing hope for us.  He wants to bring us into blamelessness.  Don’t know what that means… stay tuned!!

REMEMBER, Click the Memory Verse tab above and continue memorizing your verse for this week!

  1. I think this is a great lesson to start talking about!!! I honestly forgot some of the Fruits of the Spirit. Now I know exactly where in the Bible to look for them. :-)
