Several girls in our 180 group have discovered the importance of spending time alone with God and becoming doers of what He teaches them. They want to offer an opportunity to any girl that wants to join in, to log onto this site each day and learn with them.

Ever wondered what to read in the Bible? Or better yet, what something in the Bible means?
Well join us each day, right here, and we will walk through God's Word together:)

Day #13

Have a hard time focusing when doing your Bible time?  Try reading it out loud to yourself… such a helper for me.  I sometimes have to read something a couple of times.  There is no shame in that, LOL.

I truly encourage you to be writing in a journal by now in your Bible study time.  Rushing through by just reading will do you little good.  Take the time to train.  You won’t regret it.

God is so awesome!  Our recent study on conflict was tough and now God is continuing to be faithful to us. His desire is never to leave us in the condition we are in… He will always draw us to be more and more like Him.  So don’t EVER think you have it all together.  That is a sure recipe for a flop!

Remember all the “clothes” we will be wearing if we have an idol in our life?  If not, look back at your notes for the last 3 days.  Read Colossians 3:5, 8. There were 10 of them.  List them again in your notes.

Now, read by clicking on this verse… Colossians 3:12-15

What 5 clothes does Paul tell us to PUT ON in verse 12?

In verse 13, what does Paul tell us we should do if we have a complaint against someone?  WHY does he say we should do this?

In your own words, answer the following…
1.  What does v. 14 tell us we should also put on?
2.  What does v. 15 say should rule our hearts?
3.  V. 15 also tells us that we should be _________?

As we continue to study, I want to warn you about something that I have failed in many times.  There always seems to be a point in your deeper walk with God, that you get distracted, stop reading your Bible, stop talking to God, and start making idols to fill your time and your need for friendship and entertainment.  This is when you start trying to be a "GOOD PERSON."

Just being a good person and rarely, if ever, opening your Bible will get you trusting in yourself and your abilities.  You alone, are not a match for Satan.  God must have priority!  Be encouraged... continue this race!

Tomorrow we will start learning about our mouths and how to control them.  Eeek!!  This will be an awesome study as we jump back into the book of James.

Click on the MEMORY VERSES tab above and test yourself on last week’s memory verse and this weeks memory verse.

Click on the PRAYER REQUESTS tab above.  There have been quite a few serious ones listed.

Click on the PRAISE tab above.  Type in one thing that you are thankful for today.  Try to make it different than any you have listed.

TARGET OF THE DAY
Write down the name of someone today that you usually don't hang around... someone that seems down or needs a friend, or maybe someone who mistreats you.  Now, do something nice for them without being noticed today.  The possibilities are endless.  The idea is to not be noticed by anyone.  Don't talk about it with anyone... let this be a "Mission Anonymous."  Just between you and God:)
