Hopefully everyone has caught
up on the Bible studies for the last 11 days.
If not, don’t fret, start with today, and see if you can do an extra one
or two at another time each day, until caught up.
Begin by talking with God. Thank Him and talk about your love for Him
and what He does. Ask God for wisdom on
how to live today the way He would like.
God’s grace is amazing. GRACE means unmerited
favor… kindness that you don’t deserve. If
you flub up today, crash and burn… get back up!
Ask forgiveness from God; turn from the sin (repent). He forgives!
Now we finally get to the
point of making that scary list of things you may have done to contribute to your
broken relationship(s). Your list may
include things you actually did, said, or thought. If you have not already made this list… get to
it. It is a vital part in being obedient
to Christ!!
TODAY’s lesson will be the
final one on CONFLICTS. Today you will
learn what to do next in mending broken relationships at church.
BE RECONCILED!
Be reconciled?
Definition of RECONCILE
1. To
reestablish a close relationship between.
2. To settle or resolve
Read Matthew 5:23
What does this verse tell us that we
must do in conflict?
You may not realize this, but this
verse falls under a heading in the book of Matthew…murder.
In Matthew 5:22, Matthew talks about
the importance of following the commandments of God. He begins by talking about “You shall not MURDER.” He says that God’s standards are so high,
that even if you are just angry with another believer, you have committed
MURDER.
Read Matthew 5:23 one more time.
Do you now understand what is being
said in this verse better? Girls! Don’t take this part lightly. You should go to the person you have or have
had a conflict with and make peace.
Making peace, sadly, is not just saying “I’m sorry.” You must confess your wrong or wrongs. You have to be specific. Don’t have time? MAKE TIME! There will be tough consequences for leaving this step out in making peace. Want to know what they are? Text me.
In conflict, there could be two
situations… there could have been a rare occasion where you did all the wrong
and you simply have to obey and do the hard stuff mentioned above… but, there
could have been a more common situation where the two people in conflict both
contributed to the destruction. In this
case, when you go to make peace and confess wrong… don’t do this obedient act
expecting that the other person will confess their wrong doing as well. They may not admit wrong doing… and you have
to be okay with that. God knows their
part. And He can get their attention far
better than you ever could. No lie, this
is tough when this happens… but you have to place your faith in God and let it
go.
Click on the MEMORY VERSES
tab above and test yourself
on last week’s memory verse. Make some copies of the newest memory verse
and the oldest one. Tape one in each place you will not miss it... in
the car in front of you where you sit, on the bathroom mirror, in the
kitchen where you eat, etc... the possibilities are endless. Do you
know why I am telling you to do this? Read...Deuteronomy 6:7-9!
