Several girls in our 180 group have discovered the importance of spending time alone with God and becoming doers of what He teaches them. They want to offer an opportunity to any girl that wants to join in, to log onto this site each day and learn with them.

Ever wondered what to read in the Bible? Or better yet, what something in the Bible means?
Well join us each day, right here, and we will walk through God's Word together:)

Day #28

Your love never fails
It never gives up
It never runs out on me.
Thank you God.

As we continue our study steadily through the book of James, let's start by reading James 2:8-11.  Even though you may remember it, look it up again, and read it aloud.

Yes, we will camp out here again today:)

Favoritism= the practice of unfairly giving better treatment to one person over another.
Discrimination= the unjust treatment of different categories of people or things, esp. on the grounds of race, age, or gender (boy/girl).
Partiality= an unfair favor of one thing or person over another; favoritism.

You know how in most movies, there is GOOD verses EVIL?  And there is always a nemesis (an evil character)?  Well favoritism, discrimination, and partiality are a nemesis to God’s perfect law, the 10 Commandments.

Choosing anyone “with” over someone “without” is FAVORITISM, DISCRIMINATION, and PARTIALITY!  End of story.

PRAY:  Ask God to show you where you act out the above 3.  Trust that He will and get ready to face this hard truth.  We are sinners and our efforts in pushing sin away are fruitless unless we allow God’s power to transform our hearts daily.

Read and write the following verses in your journal.

Leviticus 19:15
Deuteronomy 16:19
Job 34:19

We are to be tools of justice for those who are weak.  We are NOT to stand by and watch someone being treated unfairly. We are to sacrifice ourselves and we are to sacrifice being liked to step in.  We are to get our hands dirty in the toughness of an unjust situation.

Read James 2:10-11

God's Law, or 10 Commandments, was never meant to be separated.  They were meant to all stand together as a whole.  Do you remember what our memory verse is?  Click the tab to the side.

If you follow this verse, you can’t help but follow the rest.

Let’s take a look at the law.

Take a look at this week's memory verse once more.  The moment you stop loving God through time spent and obedience… the moment you get your eyes on something else (an idol- can be a person, thing, situation)…  the moment you stop loving others as you love yourself… the moment you stop treating others the way you want to be treated… the moment you stop putting others ahead of yourself…  you will be guilty of breaking all the other commands of God.

TARGET OF THE DAY
Write out all 10 commandments in your journal today. Write in big letters the memory verse for this week.  Ask God to continually show what it means to love Him and to love others.

When I went to kids camp they had this guy who wrote a song with the Ten Commandments. In the middle of the song he would rap lol that's why I worded them a little different just now because that's how they are in the song and the song is what helps me remember them all lol
