Several girls in our 180 group have discovered the importance of spending time alone with God and becoming doers of what He teaches them. They want to offer an opportunity to any girl that wants to join in, to log onto this site each day and learn with them.

Ever wondered what to read in the Bible? Or better yet, what something in the Bible means?
Well join us each day, right here, and we will walk through God's Word together:)

Day #4

Read James 1:12
As we start out today, stop and seriously give God some time in prayer.  Pray and ask Him to help you understand AND obey what you are learning.  Trust me, He will pour out wisdom!  He has an endless supply.

Now read James 1:12 one more time.
What do you think it means to be steadfast? (It means to stand strong and firm). When you follow Christ with your life, there will be hard times... trials/tests. Yet, it is worth it to follow Him because of the eternal reward we have in heaven.

Read 1 Corinthians 9:25
What is your favorite sport? What are some of the rules of that sport? You know that to win you must play by the rules. Paul (the author of the book of 1 Corinthians) is saying the same thing; you must live your life by God’s commandments when you choose to follow Him as Savior. You must play by his rules to receive eternal life.  And remember... His rules are to protect us.

Read 2 Timothy 4:6-8
Paul writes to Timothy right before his death and gives the reason he has gone through so many tough times in his life. He has done it for eternal reward in heaven. What about you, are you willing to do what it takes to follow Jesus through the hard times?
